After a drunk driving incident, a former minor-league basketball coach is ordered by the court to manage a team of players with intellectual disabilities. He soon realizes that despite his doubts, this team can go further than they ever imagined. The coach, who is initially reluctant to take on the job, slowly begins to bond with the players and learn about their challenges. As he helps them to improve their skills, he also begins to see their potential. Together, they set their sights on the Special Olympics, and they soon realize that they have a real chance of winning.
