Lydia Tar is a great conductor and the very first female to lead philharmonic orchestra. In addition to her brilliance, Lydia also has a dark side that continues to bubble to the surface. Now that she is on top of her game, she is forced to deal with certain accusations from her past. She soon collapses under the strain of her troubles and commits an unspeakable act. At the lowest point in her life, she must find a way to balance her life and rebuild her reputation.
