After Nate is left a quadriplegic due to an unfortunate illness, he believes his life is over. His service animal, Gigi, comes into his life and his life begins to change. Gigi and Nate form a very strong bond. The warm and friendly monkey helps him as a constant companion and in ways he never dreamed of. Although Nate continues to face the difficulties associated with being wheelchair bound, the monkey provides him hope and fulfillment.
