Cranky and entitled, middle-aged Karen terrorizes her neighbors and the other residents of her small town. Seriously lacking Christmas spirit, she uses her privilege and prejudice to harm and scare others. But then, in a Dickens-style twist, three spirits form an intervention. After a visit to herself as a child on Christmas Eve, a glimpse at her future and a look at the present she can't see, she starts to change.
