Chesapeake Shores centers around Abby O'Brien Winters' returns to Chesapeake Shores, Maryland, her hometown. She arrives to help her sister Jess who is renovating an inn after her divorce. Jess needs Abby's help to avoid foreclosure. When Abby returns, there is an uncomfortable meeting with her first love, who eventually becomes an ally. Abby's estranged mother also turns up, creating more troubling memories for her to deal with from her past.
