An archeologist and research scientist, Dr. Alma Felser, can only receive a grant for her studies if she agrees to help out with another experiment. She's asked to bring a human-like robot into her home for evaluation for three weeks. At a dance club, Alma is introduced to a man named Tom who seems to be her perfect match... until she learns that he is the robot that she's been asked to evaluate. He apparently had a glitch and sought her out before the start of the experiment. After receiving an apology, Alma is asked to continue with the experiment since only 10 experts in the world have received the honor to evaluate robots that are designed to act as their ideal partners. Alma's decision will change her entire life.
