The Lost Daughter is a psychological drama that focuses on an English teacher coming to grips with her turbulent past. While undergoing the events of divorce and the departure of her children to live with her ex-husband in Canada, Leda attempts to turn the negative situation into a positive by vacationing on a remote island near Italy. The woman's peace is shattered when a dour family arrives, leading to a building obsession towards the mother and daughter.
