For one frazzled woman named Hannah, the quest to secure employment leads her to a job at a house built in 1840. As it turns out, though, the spirit of the lady who once owned the house is still in residence ? and she is not thrilled about the uncouth manners of the woman who has been chosen to portray her. It's not long before she is making suggestions, resulting in even more frustration for Hannah. Eventually, Hannah takes her to concerns about the ghost to a Harvard historian who previously irritated her.
