The Power is a horror film taking place inside of a British hospital during the power crisis of the 1970s. Val is a new nurse working at East London Infirmary, looking to complete her work on a thesis concerning the relationship between health and poverty. Unfortunately, the hospital's authorities like Matron, her supervisor, use their power to keep the young woman from discovering the abuses the facility engages itself in. The act of asking too many questions of staff places Val on the night shift, where she comes face to face with the ghosts that hide in the building's shadows.
