Heavy metal drummer Ruben and his singer-girlfriend Lou?s latest tour hits an unexpected standstill when Ruben starts suffering severe hearing loss. He?s willing to play through the pain to fulfill the rest of their gigs and keep them together, but Lou knows the trauma could lead to a catastrophic relapse as a recovering heroin addict. While joining a secluded facility that teaches students how to adapt to deafness, Ruben must rehabilitate from his adrenaline-fueled heydays and forge a different life of sobriety without hearing.
