Philip is deeply traumatized as a child after his sister is dragged away to her death by an unknown supernatural entity. Later in life, Philip is shocked to his core again when he witnesses the demonic possession of his girlfriend. Philip?s response is to isolate himself in his apartment. He makes his living as a proofreader and has not set foot outside his door for two years. Philip deals with an array of bizarre paranormal phenomena, including demonic possession, exorcisms and eerie unexplainable happenings. Dynamic tension is created by the main character?s psychological isolation and constant fear of what might come next.
