Mike Ross is intelligent and witty. He has a photographic memory. Yet, Mike's also a college dropout. He has difficulty sticking with anything for very long. To pay for the care of his grandmother, Mike does a lot of shady things as well, including taking the Law School Admission Test for other people illegally and selling marijuana. While trying to hide from the police in an office building after a drug deal that goes horribly wrong, Mike is accidentally picked as a potential new hire candidate for an associate position at a law firm with cold, legal eagle Harvey Specter. Harvey is fed up with the Harvard law school graduates he has had to deal with in the past. When he's introduced to Mike, Harvey recognizes that Mike has something extra even without a legal degree and decides to fraudulently hire him as an associate. Thankful for the opportunity, Mike dedicates himself to helping their clients and trying to humanize Harvey.
