On the way to a job interview, Sawyer, a young, female college student, gets lost. Technology fails her, and she has to turn to a paper map. While trying to find her location on the map, she is approached by two men who accost her, forcing her to run away into the woods in a very rural area of Kentucky. With the dangerous men behind her and the icy cold wind and snow all around her, Sawyer is forced to do whatever it takes to survive. Eventually, she meets another man in the woods - Lowell - and while she can't really trust him, she is forced to rely on him and his shady, criminal activities, to survive.
