As one of the longest running sci-fi series in existence, this British series has developed from a quirk genre entry with a niche following into a national cultural touchstone. Doctor Who follows the story of the titular Doctor who travels through space and time to battle against strange and alien presences. Rather than fight with his fists, the Doctor prefers to rely on their wits. They're assisted with the time traveling TARDIS - which appears as a classical British phone booth - and their trusty sonic screwdriver.
