Lady Sandra Abbott, a member of the middle class, has carefully planned out retirement with her husband of four decades. Some might say that she has a blessed and perfect life...until she learns that her best friend and her husband have been having an affair. With no other choices available to her, she seeks help from her less conventional, older sister, Bif, who she has been estranged from for many years. Bif lives a completely different life than Sandra has known in poverty-stricken area of London. Bif's lifestyle is more free-spirited than Sandra believes she can handle until Bif introduces Sandra to the joys that the older, less wealthy set can know that come from being part of a close-knit community. Can a dance class and Bif's friends, Jackie, Ted and Charlie, help reignite a passion in Sandra that middle class living has nearly destroyed?
