During the early days of a zombie outbreak on Earth, one family finds themselves thrown together with a Los Angeles shopkeeper and his own family as well as an eccentric wealthy man who happens to have access to a boat. The group journeys through California, along the coast, and into Mexico in their quest to find safety and survive in the new world, but there are just as many human dangers as zombies. Survival might be harder than they think.
