Maggie's Plan follows Maggie, a young, independent woman who has it all figured out. She has a plan for everything and maintains a seemingly high level of control over her life. So, when Maggie decides that she wants to have a baby without a husband, she makes a plan and become artifically inseminated. This plan goes off course, however when Maggie falls in love with John, a University rofessor whose marriage is crumbling. As she continues to make more plans in realtion to John over the years, Maggie's perfect composure is tested.
