After being spurned by the a new administration, the House Democratic Whip, Frank Underwood, is feeling restless. The chips are down, the odds are against him, and the influence he once dreamed of seems out of his reach. Frank is a gambler, though, and together with his wife and closest confidante, he sets the table for a new game that promises to bring the nation to its knees. If he loses, it could be the end for him, but if he wins, he could bring the whole government tumbling down like a house of cards.
