Based on the Japanese animated science-fiction franchise, Ghost in the Shell takes place in a cyberpunk future. Technology has advanced to the point where human cyborgs are now commonplace. The Major is a top of the line human-cyborg and leader of the elite special ops task force, Section 9. They are tasked with protecting the population from the most violent and dangerous criminals. Now they must face an enemy fixated on destroying Hanka Robotic's advances in cyber technology.
