A group of teenagers living in a hospital setting because their various maladies prevent them from joining everyday life might sound like a tear-jerker, but here humor and heart combine to tell unique stories about one very special group of kids and the doctors that care for them. Charlie, stuck in a coma after a car accident, is the unlikely narrator. There's Emma, an anorexic caught in an unlikely love triangle. Jordi and Leo have similar conditions, but opposite personalities. Dash is everyone's friend, but always left out. Then, there's mean girl Kara who, ironically, needs a new heart.
