Most people never really thought it could happen. After all, stories of evil aliens bent on destroying humanity were just ideas born of the imaginations of science fiction writers. Then they came and nothing was ever the same again. Falling Skies follows shows what might happen to humanity if non-peaceful aliens ever came to our world and attacked us with full force. Six months after the invasion, the last members of the human race who survived the initial destruction have gathered outside of major cities around the world. Their days and nights are spent living in fear of the horrible, stronger multi-legged aliens who have powerful mechs and destructive weaponry, and who kidnap children and bind them with mind-controlling harnesses to create slave labor and for other unknown purposes. A group out of the former state of Massachusetts has banded together to form a resistance unit called the Second Massachusetts. They hide, gather supplies, survive and try to find a way to fight back against the alien occupation of Earth!
