Fathers and Daughters follows Jake Davis, an award-winning writer whose wife has just died in a fatal car crash. Now Jake is left to raise his five year old daughter, Katie, all by himself. The narrative switches back and forth between present day, when Katie is in her 30's, and the period just after the accident. Through this interwoven story line, the audience is privy to the difficult world of growing up, raising a child, and dealing with life altering tragedy.
