5.8Max Simkin is a cobbler whose family has been in the shoe repair business for generations. While he has a good and steady job, he has fallen into a rut and is dissatisfied with his life and his work in New York City. Then, something mysterious happens to change his perspective. He discovers an heirloom that allows him to get an inside look at his customers' lives. Suddenly, his work takes on a much greater meaning as he becomes intimately familiar with those he is serving.
