Reagan is a successful television producer on the popular daytime show, "Ava." As Ava's best friend, Reagan works diligently with the star each day with exhaustive hours. Reagan's husband, Chris, is a great attorney, winning cases almost everyday. However, the world turns upside down when Reagan becomes pregnant. After giving birth to Amy, Reagan and Chris decide that he can stay home with the baby. Reagan is torn, but Ava is adamant that she is in need of her star producer. Chris busies himself at home, trying to be the best home dad ever. He is confronted by colleagues still racing at the corporate level, but he is determined to make the best of the situation. With Ava's crazy antics, Reagan must try to keep up in the busy Hollywood world while still making time for Chris and Amy. The balance is cumbersome, at times, but these former party animals find that being parents is just another facet to life in the fast lane. Ava helps the couple out on occasion, making her a surrogate mother in the process. Combining work and home life on a daily basis is a comedic struggle for these hard-working people.
