In the frigid waters of the Bering Sea off the coast of Alaska, a rare breed of men risk their lives and limbs to bring in the delicious crabs that diners can?t get enough of. It is the deadliest occupation in the world, and these men must be ever vigilant. At any moment, they could be washed overboard or crushed by a giant crab cage. Even though it is such a deadly work environment, the men like to have a lot of fun. The crabbing industry seems to draw a lot of colorful characters to work in it. The captains and the crews of the Alaskans crabbing boats share their hopes and dreams as well as many colorful tales about their lives bringing in the crabs. The men work long shifts of days at a time when the fishing is good, and they do it among raging seas and bitter cold. The life is one that is often miserable, but the payoff is a huge load of cash for a great haul. Fortunes will be made and lives will be lost.
