'Blue Bloods' is a drama centered on an extended family in New York city that includes three generations of law enforcement officials: a former police commissioner, his son who is the current commissioner, and his children, a police officer, a detective and an assistant district attorney. Often reflecting current events, each episode examines some aspect of the legal system. The plot focuses on one or more family members, and how their interconnecting and often dangerous jobs affect themselves, each other, and their lives and relationships both within and outside the family.
