Abe is a philosophy professor at the local college. He has dedicated his life to teaching and helping students learn to rationalize their emotions and understand the complexities of human behavior. However, when the first sparks of romance arise between him and one of his students, it soon becomes clear that things such as human emotion and behavior might not be so easily explained as they are in a text book. As his new-found love affair with the beautiful young woman continues to grow, the intellectual and otherwise rational professor finds himself caught in an utterly irrational existential crisis as he begins to reconsider his purpose in life.
