After one of the more unusual courtships their tribe has ever seen, Kate and Humphrey have created a beautiful family that includes three young cubs. As with any young wolf cub, all three of their young ones are curious about the outside world. But when the smallest cub, named Runt, decides to wander far away from home, Kate and Humphrey have to set off on another adventure to bring him back. As the family tries desperately to track down their littlest member, they all start to realize that maybe home is not necessarily a place. Perhaps home is just where the whole family is together. The family has a lot of laughs and gets through a lot of danger just to try and bring Runt back into the fold.
