The 1960s advertising firm of Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce is the focus of the highly successful television drama Mad Men. The show centers around brilliant, yet damaged advertising pro Don Draper, a womanizing charlatan, who can't seem to get a handle on his overactive libido, and whose life is explored through an interesting myriad of flashbacks. Don is a human wrecking ball who leaves no one unscathed, including his wife (soon to be ex) Betty, and his children. The advertising business is no picnic, and the core characters of Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce are often left battered and bloodied by love, sex, backstabbing, and the office politics of the times. The show's authenticity is unquestioned due to its ability to tackle controversial issues such as homosexuality, illegitimacy, racism, and sexism.
